A video tour of my deluxe hotel room (a free upgrade!) at Park Hyatt Beijing.
This is totally awesome.

vince-chan asked: Hi Richard. Both sad/happy to see you leave England for HK.
My parents migrated from HK to England many years ago, then I was born, and have been going through secondary school as a yellow in a white world!
I was just wondering what made you want to go back to HK? I am considering doing the same after I've finished education, and I am curious about why you're choosing to move... :)
(I've been reading Engadget since before you started writing, so I've read all your posts ;)
Well, I’ve technically already moved back in March, partly because of my promotion and also due to the cheaper living costs. That said, I miss my UK friends very much, but hey, I can always go back, and they can always come visit me out here as well. :)
Good luck with your studies. If you can, you should at least get a couple of years of experience in the country before coming back to Hong Kong — makes a huge difference when you have to compete for jobs.
Goold old Blighty, you made me slim with your boarding school sports, yet you bloated me with your booze in the later years. What a rollercoaster ride you’ve been to me.
Here I am now, sat on a plane ready to take off for Hong Kong. It was only three hours ago when I departed my bedroom, which is now filled with boxes of things I’ve accummulated over the last eleven years. In a few weeks’ time they’ll reunite with me (after the removals have collected them, of course), but as far as I’m concerned, I am now officially leaving the UK.
This land has taught me well, and I am grateful for all the people who’ve played a part during my time here. It’s been a relatively smooth sail, so I’ve definitely been spoiled by my good friends.
Until next time, I wish everyone here well and hopefully see you all in Hong Kong at some point. Ciao!
