Text 27 Feb 4 notes Random thoughts from San Francisco

I need to dump my memory here before my brain fries from jet lag and insomnia. These are roughly in chronological order.

• I love my Engadget family. I really do.

• I also love San Francisco.

• United Airlines could sure use some new planes.

• Jet lag sucks.

• Speaking of which, modding an iPhone 4 while under the influence of a jet lag isn’t ideal (sorry about the screws, Jacob!)

• According to Ross, I need to open up my arms when greeting an old friend — apparently my “Hello stranger!” backfired.

• I should refrain from randomly sticking up my finger at photographers (sorry, Thomas, it was the jetlag plus coke!)

• Whoa, some people recognized me! (But Tim and JoshT had way more hardcore fans.)

• California girls aren’t shy.

• If you had to choose between a Vietnamese girl and a Korean girl (both fairly Americanized), who would you choose?*

• Note to self: you don’t always get a second chance, you lucky sod. (Thanks, Tim)

• Karaoke » jet lag

• Engadget team karaoke is THE BEST!

• Before CES, Vlad said “hell no” to karaoke; he was so wrong. :D

• Do not underestimate Myriam’s driving skills.

• I’m never letting JoshT and Tim tickle me again. It was a rough ride…

• Banana milkshake: never again.

• $20 buffet — OK food, but only in San Francisco.

• [Deja vu while typing this post]

• San Francisco could be my future home — I keep meeting these random but awesome people. One guy was a security guard at one of the Academy Of Arts buildings, and he LOVES Doctor Who plus Torchwood.

• I hate buying suitcases — they are way overpriced for something that get the most abuse.

• Bumped into the legendary Charlie at the hotel just before he left. Thanks for the great show, my man! And nice accent. :)

• I don’t want to leave San Francisco.

• Ugh, this post is going to suck. Whatever. I’m almost brain-dead.

*Latter for me, but I didn’t even ask for contact deets from either girl. *facepalm*
